Remodeled traditional style laundry room with modern elements.. Stone backsplash, ledge, countertop and sink add luxury..

The ASID Design Home 2024 Pillsbury Castle laundry room, formerly a kitchenette from days when portions of the home served as a vacation rental, is transformed into a rich and functional space. Honoring the grandeur of the home’s original architecture, historic materials like quartzite counter and backsplash combine to embrace the homeowners’ style-forward design aesthetic. Ample storage solutions were incorporated into the cabinetry including hamper drawers, a pullout ironing board, and a pet feeding station ensuring the space stays organized. A bold saturated color, inspired by a surprise element of thin green veining in the natural stone countertop, breathes new life into the room without compromising its historical charm. The reinvented space not only streamlines the chore of doing laundry but also is a vibrant and beautiful extension of the home.
